SSA publishes three journals in Sinhala, English and Tamil: Polity/Pravathm/Pravada. They provide a forum for discussion and debate on democracy, human rights, devolution and peace, social and economic justice, and gender equity.

Polity is edited by Jayadeva Uyangoda and Kumari Jayawardena.Pravada is edited by Jayadeva Uyangoda, Ranjith Perera and Kumari Jayawardena.

Piravatham is edited by Professor M.A.Nuhman.
